Melissa Loop: Minneapolis, MN; I am a painter living in Minneapolis but I travel to places that are "exotic" compared to the midwest as a sort of social anthropologist. I gather material on other cultures to make fictionalized landscape paintings in my studio back home that are based on a laborious about of factual research. My Heart is a Nomad is a place for me to share my projects, interests, and other things that inspire me.
